Tried to set this up and entered IP address, waited 45 min for tech support and they claim that the app works, but if there are so many problems for numerous people either instructions are faulty or it has numerous bugs. The IP router set up is not at all easy, or consistent - tutorials or not. Well that took some doing and worked to zip some already generated file and download through Dropbox.
I've been using BIAB for years to create backing tracks. I do that on my desktop version, then transfer them to my iPad version. The iPad sits comfortably on my music stand next to my lead sheets which are on an IPad Pro so that the audience doesn't see any electronics.
It does need an upgrade though, particularly a button to change a song to the next one in a single step. App Store Preview. This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices. Screenshots iPhone iPad. Bug fixes, performance improvements.
Google Drive support added as a method to transfer songs to your device. Tempo changes at any bar are now handled correctly. Grey background on bars that are not part of the song. Bar highlighting didn't show when tapping on a new bar.

Visual Transpose added. For non-concert instruments like trumpet, chords get displayed transposed. Sign in to your existing Dropbox account and download Band-in-a-Box songs from any computer that you have Dropbox installed on. Zip file downloads are supported. Major new feature! You can now download songs directly from your home computer - PC or Mac - without needing to connect to the desktop version of Band-in-a-Box. Previously the app was only useful as a client to an existing copy of Band-in-a-Box for Windows.

Now anyone can download songs via WiFi and play them in the app. Faster generation of songs requires new server version: Song and folder names are divided into two lines where required. Also the font can be smaller if the name is too big. If server become unavailable the status will be changed automatically The application checks server periodically.
If you are not connected to the server, you can try to auto-connect by clicking on the red status button on the bottom of the screen. After application launch, auto-connection will start. If auto-connection fails, server dialog will be shown. The application will not ask for server password after the first successful connection to the current server.
About window that shows the app build number. See discussion. Version Fixed or Improved Changing the color setting for "Window background" in the Audio Edit window had no effect. Hitting [Cancel] in the Audio Edit Settings dialog would cause a random zoom to occur.
The [Sample] button in the Audio Edit window would zoom in to the far left of the screen, rather than to the cursor.
