Pros You get what you paid for - a demo Cons Good luck trying to get the full version, maybe in a yard sale. Summary When this was released back in it was a great game, I found it far more entertaining than AOE3 which took me all of a weekend to get through all the scenarios including the two expansion packs, yes it was well done but a bit same old same old.

The game was very well received by both critics and gamers alike when released in It currently holds a 92 out of rating on MetaCritic review aggregate website. In the game, players will manage a civilization from history through four different ages managing everything from building construction, resource gathering, technology research, military unit creation, and war. The game includes five different single player campaigns and a robust multiplayer skirmish mode with support for up to eight players. One expansion was released for Age of Kings titled The Conquerors which included five new civilizations.
In addition to remaking the original game and including the Conquerors expansion, Age of Empires II HD has seen the release of two expansions of its own.
