So today I will be reviewing my favourite foundation, which is Mac pro longwear foundation. I am in the shade NC Though I am writing a review for this foundation today, it is not new to me. I have been using this foundation for more than a year now. I am kind of a big foundation junkie. So I keep on trying different foundations. Mac Prolong wear foundation is a long wearing foundation that gives up to 15 hours of wear in any environmental condition.

Lightweight and creamy, applies smoothly to provide sheer to medium coverage. Even in hot and humid conditions,controls oil to keep skin fresh, natural and flawless. Provides everyday spf protection. Has SPF I generally like to dot the foundation all over my face, and then take a kabuki brush and blend the foundation all over my face and neck. One needs to work a bit faster while applying this foundation as this starts setting on the skin pretty quickly.

You can use a brush or BeautyBlender as per your comfort. Titanium Dioxide 4. Mica, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide. Price range of the Mac products really disappoints me. They keep hiking there prices every now and then. The Mac pro longwear foundation comes in a sturdy glass bottle. The best thing I love about this foundation is that it comes with its own pump unlike Mac studio fix fluid foundation.

The pump dispenses just the right amount of product hence there is no product wastage. The foundation also has a twist lock system so that you can twist and dispense the product when you need and then twist back to lock the bottle.

I usually require 2 pumps of foundation to cover my entire face and neck. Though it is a glass bottle, one can carry this foundation safely in a handbag. I have personally carried this foundation a number of times but never faced any problems yet. Coming on to the shade selection — MAC is probably the best, well known and trusted brand when it comes to the shades selection. They have a wide range of shades available in this foundation. So one can easily find a suitable shade for their skin tone in the Mac Pro longwear range of foundations.

The texture of the foundation is liquid but it is slightly thick in consistency. It applies smoothly but one needs to work a little fast with this foundation or else it may end up sitting on your face and becomes hard to blend after a while. I was matched NC in pro longwear foundation which luckily was the perfect shade for me.

I normally like to use a foundation that is one shade lighter than my skin tone as foundations tend to oxidise a bit on my skin. This is a long wearing foundation and it offers semi-matte finish which I love.

After hours I started noticing the foundation slightly fading from my t-zone where I generally tend to get oily. But touching up with a compact just increased the wear time of the foundation.

However, I would say it is definitely a build able medium to full coverage foundation. In the pictures I am having a fairly good skin day, but as you can see, it completely airbrushes out everything to the point it looks like I have used a filter in this picture. Lasting power: This is one of the longest wearing foundations I own. If I apply it at 7: Skin Type: I honestly think this foundation would suit most skin types, except those with dry skin. When I do have dry patches on my face it can cling a little bit and I find on those days I am better off with Mac Studio fix fluid.

I have been wearing this for the past two weeks and have tried it with primers, powders, and different brushes to make sure that I could give a full and detailed review for you guys. Who knew makeup could be so controversial. The complaints most people had was how it wore on the skin. Many found that it slid off their face throughout the day, or it went patchy. The Nars sheer glow foundation, is one that has been blogged about over and over again.

Many bloggers have hailed this as their holy grail foundation and that there is no other foundation out there like it. So the question I ask myself after using this foundation for over 2 months, is is the hype surrounding Nars sheer glow worth it? Oh Hell yes. Ladies this is quite simply an amazing foundation. I wear the colour Punjab which is described as a medium colour with golden peachy undertones. To put…. It always baffles me how things work differently on peoples skin. I should have wrote that there is no flashback.

Matchmaker oxidized orange in less than an hour for me… but i be been using Longwear and studio fix foundation since I started wearing makeup, and still do at almost 30! Though if pressed. I wore mac studio fix fluid and mac pro long wear nourishing mixed together and there was no flash back at all. Lasts alll day as well gives u a glow! I was using Double Wear but i have just recently gone back to using Pro Longwear, The reason being is that this summer for some unknown reason, in the heat and humidity the Double Wear has really let me down.

As soon as i start sweating, whether its heat, stress or hormones etc, the foundation goes really tacky and dissapears so i am left with whites patches all over my face where the make up has come of i do prime and set with powder and on a couple of occasions i have resorted to buying wet wipes and just taking it all off.
