It's rare to see a crashing problem reported in the Forum, though there were some related issues with Sentry a few months back. With the Norton Tech help, and thanks to the suggestion on this forum, I asked them to install the Norton trial version which will buy me a little time until it expires. The Norton Tech Support stated to me that they have a compatible version which is confirmed by the successful trial install but Comcast does not have that version on their website. This appears to be false advertising on Comcast's part and fraudulent sales in selling a non-working product to us as customers.
