I like it much better than Skitch and you can easily save to disk. If you need something more full featured, you can't beat SnagIt.

Highlight: Draw On Your Mac Screen

I love this application for its simplicity and functionality. This is a huge timesaver for documentation purposes. Once I have my same-sized screenshots of a specific area, I can annotate them and write the instructions and everything looks nice and clean. It does become rather sluggish and seems a bit buggy when you have nearly a thousand items in the Evernote notebook that Skitch is attached to, so I would like the abiity to limit the number of items that Skitch displays.

Maybe that would speed it up a bit? This was one of the great apps I'd rather pay more up front Yes, it's still great when it works. Trouble is, it now crashes or freezes about half the time.

I don't know, maybe it's something local to my system. But I doubt it. The updates just haven't come and maybe they never will. So I've bitten the bullet and shelled out top dollar for Snagit instead. So far, it seems I use Skitch all the time. I have no idea where to make a feature request as all of the forums on Evernote are, well, for Evernote. Here goes.
