Changing the Paper Size in Word
Hi, Is it possible to change the default paper size to "Custom paper size"? Thanks in advance.
This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. I have the same question John McGhie Replied on October 24, Word draws all its paper sizes from the default printer at startup.
Then set the Normal template to use the new paper size. See the Apple help for how to add a paper size to the printer. Thanks for marking this as the answer. Choose this type of break if you would like your next line of text to appear on the next page, but do not want to start a new section. A " Column " page break marks where one column ends and another begins. Choose this type of break if you would like the next line of text to appear at the top of the next column in your document, but don't want to start a new section.
The purpose of a section break is to store information about the formatting of the preceding section, specifically the information relating to the headers, footers, page setup, and column settings. There are four options for a section break in Word A " Next Page " section break is similar to a "Page" page break in that it marks where one page ends and another page begins. However, since it is a section break, it also has controls formatting of the section above.
A " Continuous " section break doesn't appear to change anything until the formatting of an entire section is changed. Select a paper size from the Paper Size list, and then click OK. Word inserts section breaks as needed before and after the text that you selected and changes the paper size for that section.
On the Format menu, point to Document , and then click Page Setup. On the Paper Size list, select a paper size and then click OK. On the Apply to list, click Selected sections. If you change the preferred paper size or margins for the template that Word bases new documents on normal. If you change the preferred paper size or margins for a document that is based on another template, only new documents that are based on that template use the new settings.
How to Change the Paper Size in Word
Choose a paper source for your document's first page, and then for all subsequent pages. The list of available sources is provided by the printer driver on your computer and may be different from those shown here. If a page source is set to Auto Select , Word will automatically choose a paper source based on the size of the page and the information about paper sizes provided by your printer driver. To specify a paper source for the first page in your document, select First Page From , and then select a source from the First Page From list. To change the paper source for all pages in your document after the first page, select a source in the Remaining From list.
Otherwise, change Paper Feed to another category of settings to make additional changes. On the Apply to pop-up menu, click Whole document , and then click OK. On the Apply to pop-up menu, click Selected text , and then click OK. Word inserts section break as needed before and after the text that you selected and changes the paper size for that section. On the Apply to pop-up menu, click Selected sections. Print a document.
