So by the third try it connected to my laptop in normal mode. Kind of weird how that process went about though, when I looked in the details of the second troubleshoot it said something along the lines of 'gateway connection failed to fix. I also keep getting the notification 'Windows Security Service is turned off' and symantec antivirus keeps popping up a notification that says 'firewall needs attention' but when I check in my settings the firewall is on.

Symantec is also turned on for the antivirus, so I don't understand what these notifications mean or if they're just false positives.
