Does this mean it is the problem with mac recognising my calculater and i should try with a pc instead? Aug 29, Im having the same problem, im running mac os x It seems all the applicaton of integral apps were all updates to the os, so i connected the usb cable and installed the product cd but it wont recognize the device.
Aug 31, 8: I just tried the current version 1. I ran a USB probe; the calculator is recognized by the Mac. The problem is TI's software. When it will be updated is anyone's guess. But keep watching. Sep 25, 1: I had exactly the same problem as you with my new MacBook Pro with Lion. I figured it had been working OK with my old Mac that had Leopard so I got my old Mac out of the closet and tried with that one.

Worked perfectly. Your solution is to try with an older Mac, go to a friend's house or something if you don't have one anymore.

I tried a few years time ago to get Ti connect to talk to a ti 84plus SE, and got nowhere. Clunky, but working. Why can't my calculator connect to my MacBook Pro? More Less. Communities Contact Support.

Mac OS X Speciality level out of ten: To install the operating system to the calculator, you will need to download a program called TI Connect to your computer. Here are the download links: Plug the calculator into your computer using a mini USB cable. Buy one here. The computer should scan and find your TI Plus calculator if it is plugged in. Once it finds your calculator, click Select. Click the Browse button at the top of the TI Connect window.
Find and select the operating system file that you downloaded in step 1. Now click Send to Device to load that operating system file to your calculator.
The computer will warn you that updating the operating system will erase all information stored in RAM. You should now see a dialog box on your computer that shows the status of the operating system update. After the update is complete, check to make sure it worked.
