From google: Apparently steam and play on mac need to be installed into their default locations, not into any other directories. Honestly I'm really not sure mate, I haven't got any idea on what that could be other than like i was saying earlier about some graphics glitches. Try downloading say 2 or 3 other games and see how they go, just small ones will do.
