Mac pro early 2008 memory riser

Jul 28, I tried swapping the upper and lower riser cards, so that the lower card now contains all the modules and the upper card is empty.

As I see it The logicboard is not recognizing modules in this slot. Either 1 there is an issue with the logic board, or 2 there is an issue with slot damaged levers, loose connection, etc. Jul 29, 5: Those are for MacPro 1,1 Risers. I asssume they won't work but should be easy to navigate up to find parts. Jul 29, 7: The OWC's worked on their own Machine didn't see them when I tried the lower slot. Switching risers still resulted in no joy on the lower slot.

When I split the original modules as in the original installation , only one worked. When I swapped modules, only one worked. When I swapped riser cards, only one worked. All top module only according to System Profiler. Bottom slot shows empty no matter what is installed there. Currently both 2GB modules and both 1GB modules live on the top slot and all are seen by system profiler. I have tried all 4 modules on both risers and they work only when installed in the top slot. You ran AHT and it passed all tests or not? Jul 29, 8: Ran AHT and it found no hardware issues. Started the "extended" check before I left for work and will take a look at it when I get back home.
