Dvd stuck in computer mac

This just worked for me after a number of other solutions -- trying to eject along with credit card, with vacuuming, with turning the iMac on its side -- all failed. Jan 12, 8: Feb 3, 5: Something that just worked for me was taking a strip of KT tape and attaching the fabric side of that to an index card. I then peeled off about an inch of the protective paper to reveal the sticky side of the tape and slid the card into the disc drive making sure to get the card with the tape on top of the discs.

Use the double sticky tape trick

KT tape being outrageously sticky only had to get a corner on the top disc and it pulled right out with the card. I then did the same with the other disc and now the drive works fine! Best of luck! I tried everything else on this post, working my way down and the strips of plastic I was using had a sticky side, so I peeled the tape back about an inch as you suggested and slipped it in and pulled it out with a dvd attached!

Thank you all so much Sep 6, A co worker of mine had this same problem. I took a credit card and wrapped it with double sided tape. I placed the card in the slot and while hitting eject pulled the cd out as it stuck to the double sided tape on the card. Sep 12, 2: This worked so well. And the drive works fine.

Jan 5, 7: The simple easy solution is to get Two normal playing carda and wrap them tightly in regular packaging tape. Then gently wiggle the cards into the disc drive until you get about half of the card in.

Then Pull it out and your disc will come out with it. If it does work on the first try, try multiple times.
