They have been around for a long time and they pretty much create most of the labels you use when printing from Word. Avery has a bunch of different labels you can buy, print, peel and stick right onto your disc.

Make sure to select the Template only option otherwise it downloads an installer that tries to install crapware on your system. If you download only the template, it should be in DOC format. The only issue that comes up is that you might get a message from Word saying the document has been opened in Protected View. Now that you can edit the file, you can start typing in your text, adding images, and customizing your label.

Below I have downloaded a blank template and then added some WordArt and text at the bottom for my music tracks. It took me about 15 minutes to get all the text aligned properly in the screenshot above.

Print a test sheet on plain paper by clicking Print on the File menu, and then click Print.

If the test sheet looks good, load the labels into your printer, click Print on the File menu, and then click Print. Click OK to accept your selection and close Label Options.

Click OK in the Labels dialog box to create a new document with the address that you specified laid out for a sheet of the labels that you selected. To see the borders between labels, on the Layout tab, click View Gridlines. If Word does not list the label product that you have, you can still print to the labels that you have.

You start by selecting a label type that is close to what you have, and then modifying the measurements so that they match your labels. Type a name in the Label name box, and change the numbers in the boxes to match the label product that you have. The Preview box shows how the measurements apply to the layout of the label sheets.
