Store Hours

I'm a huge Apple fan girl. So this might be just another Apple store for everyone else but it's a big part of Apple's history. The fist retail store, that required so many patents for the type of glass, for the way it was cut, the way it was assembled, for the signature spiral glass staircase and the steel pieces that don't leave fingerprints.

It is as beautiful as it gets and it's a little wonder to look at. All that said, what you will find inside is what every Apple store has, dear geniuses in blue shirts to help you out, payments are made on their iPhones so there are no cashier lines and all products available for touching and playing.

Nice store but not a tourist attraction.

No real reason to waste your time in NY here unless you are from overseas and the pricing is much better. Not all Apple Stores are built the same, and those located in the biggest city seem so much grander than the rest. My favorite moment was visiting the New York Apple Store just before the first iPhone came out yeah, can you believe there was such a time? Silly tourists.

Not an Apple fan, but this architectural fan. Still a crowd puller, this simple but creative building as Steve jobs wanted is a worth visit store. Its crowded most of the time not to mention a iPhone release but you can get in and take pics in and around the building. For the record I am biased here because I'm a big fan of Apple's products The cube. It looks pretty cool and is quite photogenic. The innards are standard Apple store.

For an European it felt quite odd to walk into a computer store late Saturday evening and see it crowded. I visited this Apple Store the day after I arrived in new York, so the jetlag made sure I was there at 5. And you know what? It was still quite crowded!! It's a great building architecture-wise and off course it's stuffed with nice Apple stuff. Great people to help you here, too. Definitely a monument to what Steve Jobs would have wanted the world to look like: You just have to visit this Apple Store just because its underground. There's a glass elevator that can take you down or you could walk.

But most impressive is the glass entrance on the ground.

The apple icon lightens up like a big bulb at night. I love the Apple sign that looks like it's floating. The store is underground, which is different from what I'm used to in California.
