How to play dota 2 custom games on mac

I'm trying to play custom games on my Mac, but it doesn't seem to work.

The problem is that in the play menu, the Custom Games tab doesn't pop up. I've downloaded the Dota 2 Workshop Tools Alpha. I don't know what's wrong.

If Dota 2 is failing to start after preparing to launch, we recommend that you attempt to launch with either the -autoconfg or -safe launch option in that order. Only one of these launch options can be used at a time. Once you are able to launch this game, you will need to remove these launch options if you wish to change any video settings. We've also integrated a full lobby browser that lets you view all the open lobbies available, and filter and sort by game type, custom description, connectivity, players remaining, etc.



This lobby browser is useful for gathering players to try a lesser-known game, or to help you gather feedback on your own Custom Game while it's under development. Don't have time for a full round of Dota? Overthrow is a quick fight to the death in a small team free-for-all as players try to earn enough kills to win the match before the timer expires.
