Websites not displaying correctly mac

I use iMac, Snow Leopard I use mainly firefox but the problem is in all the other browsers, and even when I use Parallels Windows 7 I get the same problem. In Amazon i have problem shopping because pictures are not displayed, yahoo answers also, facebook and others.

I used my VPN solution and it displays just fine! I think I had the ethernet choice before but now is not connected and the fields are missing Attached Images CM Capture 2.

How do you usually connect to the router? Via Ethernet or Airport? It sounds like somebody is playing a practical joke with you and has turned off image downloads and page styling in all browsers. Look up turn off CSS and display images for the effected browsers on Google to find out how to bring the web back. Or ask the joker to undo his or her prank if you can guess who did it.

Now my VPN solution doesn't work because I changed something again.. Did you ever get a solution on this? I'm having the same problem, with random website, multiple browsers. Running an Imac Don't have the issue if I'm running a virtual desktop citrix at the office. Only seems to happen with certain sites displays text only and no formatting , currently an issue with Monster.

Don't have the same issue with the wife's Macbook on the same wireless network and ISP. Working on a wireless network, connecting with the airport to Cisco router. Never had this issue before a couple weeks ago, not sure what has been updated between now and then. I just posted about this I'm new here. I have the same problem. Totally agree, this is completely inane. Thanks for this. Yes, you can bring up the complete url by clicking in that field, but requiring additional steps to complete a pretty standard task seems like a step backward to me.

I just click in the address field. No need to do the other steps in prefs. Obvious know how anyway. I used to like Apple, but now I think they suck. But to take that choice from me? It seems to happen more and more..

How to Show the Complete URL in Safari Again on Mac

It was driving me bonkers to have to click in the address bar every time I wanted to see the full url. A bit OT, but connected to the issue: You see a hyperlink on a page. Before clicking on it you want to know its URL. In Firefox as wel as in Chrome there is a small nice feature for this: Move your mouse over the hyperlink. Immediately the URL is shown in a small temporary window in the bottom left corner. Is there any feature like this in Safari 8.

Most of the people in favor of reverting the change, have given ample reason why it is a great option to have. Including, one that I had missed which is not showing the protocol prefix. Sure, I can click to see the full URL, but then the address bar becomes animated and now my eyes need to focus on a moving object.

I tried the above steps but I do no still get a display of the smart search bar or the url. I am so fed up I am about to switch browsers I had to replace my mac and I am frustrated by the amount of time I have had to waste in re customizing my new computer. The inability to see the URL is one of these: It is impossible to make Safari show the full URL. This information is essential to anyone using a computer. This is why people use Firefox. Safari renders a Mac nearly useless.

Trying to use MacOS is like trying to build the space shuttle from three beer can. You are continuously thwarted by the Apple proprietary world, where you can only do a few things, and you can only do them the way the Apple allows … with no way of getting around it!!!
