Rise of the middle kingdom mac

It is a lot like these previously mentioned games, but set in Ancient China. But it is much better. It looks better. The economy is better developed. There are now walls with gates, which function like roadblocks but can be customised to block whomever you like. Militaries are no longer supplied through your palace, but your soldiers train at forts like Caesar III or Pharaoh.

Diplomacy is MUCH more developed, and very interesting. The tutorials are better, could be better still, but then I don't code games, so I don't know how much work it would've taken to make a good tutorial on their engine. Fancy houses still exist, pay many more taxes, and support how many forts you can have. It is very good just for the gameplay, but especially if you like Ancient Chinese historical gameplay. It will be loads of fun! One person found this helpful. I'm going to keep this short and sweet. This is an awesome game, the best in the city building genre in my opinion. The only negative is that years later when you decide you want to replay this awesome game, the installation process has a redundancy check that prevents you from installing if the disk has even the slightest of scratches.

As such, this is the third time in a decade that I have bought this game. On the other hand, I guess I've been willing to buy the same game 3 times, and that should tell you how good this game is. I bought this game after my original copy was lost moving. I waited the three weeks to receive it and was slightly unsatisfied to find the music will not work at all.

I think this maybe a defective piece, but I usually play my games on silent anyway so I haven't sent it back. It is still one of my all time favorite games and highly recommend that everyone try this in my opinion perfect city builder plus games. Originally my old disk did not work on the windows 7 -xp compatibility feature.

However I gave it one more try as I really love those games and the China game plays just fine now. Graphics have improved since previous games such as Caesar III and Pharaoh, and the setting feels fresh and new. As the leader of your city, it is your job to create a settlement starting as a humble village until it becomes a thriving city of trade and industry. Management and organization is important as you balance the needs and wants of your populace to keep them happy, all while fighting off enemies and organizing distant trade.

Nothing quite beats seeing your city come together. Emperor is difficult, and it can be frustrating realizing that your city is failing at the 3 hour in-game mark because of a mistake you made 30 minutes in. Emperor is the type of game where you see its 8pm when you start, and when you finish it's still 8pm This is actually the 2nd copy of this game that I've bought because I liked it so much the first time, but lost the disc.

So fun I bought it twice!

1. SimCity

This is one of my favorite game. They don't make games like this anymore. This game will not work on newer operating systems, which is unfortunate. I loved this game. I didn't play the game very long so maybe it gets better but it just didn't impress me. There did not seem to be any way to zoom in or out. I could never get a look at my whole settlement, just pieces of it at any one time. Time itself was either on or paused, no faster or slower speeds.

Buildings were constructed instantaneously, just popping up like mushrooms when you decided to construct one. If you were short on workers you could just "turn off" some buildings and the workers would go to another one. People were interchangeable, a fisherman could become an acrobat, a musician could become a farmer, etc.

Also, you had to put up "roadblocks" to keep people from wandering off aimlessly. It seems like that was just a way to compensate for poor programming. There seems to be a lot of micromanagement necessary to play the game.

The vast majority would buy it from you if it was released. I already have a DRM free copy of this game, but playing it with compatibility issues. We already have the rest of the City Builder series, it makes sense! Asked for this before and I'm gonna ask again! One of my favourite city builders! Please add this classic to your list of games. I would love to play it again. Triple promise! I wrote to GOG customer service, saying "I'm not asking for any promises, but please just say if this is a title you're at least going to try to get, so that if you're not, I can know to try to hunt a copy down before it's gone completely" -- and I only got the pat "we don't disclose our plans" reply I'm sure they give everyone.

However they see it, it's not exactly customer-oriented. Am not gonna say that we need this game and it should have been on GoG since long ago but Oh man this game was great when I was younger. Would love to play again as an adult to understands things. Please, this is getting ridiculous.
