Did this solve your problem? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. I actually don't want to change the zoom level I have to work on the same excel sheets with people on PC and Mac. I searched the internet and there are many blogs, forum-posts, etc. Microsoft as large a company as it is is perfectly capable of fixing this issue.

The Mac when first come out people were saying it was just a flash in the pan and will never stay in business. Microsoft is one of those companies that still stick by that belief. They still have the attitude that Macs are just "play toys" and not meant to get serious work done.

Also, another wrong-headed thing they do is letting the "Bean counters" tell them customers should be compartmentalized.

You can change the default zoom setting by modifying the template that is the basis for your new documents. After you do so, new documents will open at the magnification you applied to the template.
