If your Mac Mini was manufactured in or earlier, it has a DVI video output port on the back, which connects to any VGA cable for use on a monitor. The HP screen is at it's brightest setting but does not match well with the iMac so I toned down the brightness on the iMac. Overall the monitor is great. No dead pixels, the texts are very sharp.

I saw a few negative reviews on this but I'm not sure why as I ultimately had no issue with this product. I first had to overcome my own lack of knowledge of setting up two monitors with an iMac but a few google searches later i. I'm using it at x and 60Hz for an HP w Bottom line, would do again. I had no problem using this on a HP monitor at x resolution but when I used it on my ASUS monitor at x 60Hz it would not support that resolution.

This monitor is awesome! Excellent for gaming and has a hdmi input which is really nice. Compared to other mini display port options this AmazonBasics price is out of control cheap. At first I was pretty hesitant to buy electronics from AmazonBasics but so far I have been very impressed with how well they have worked and the mini display port to HDMI adapter has been no different.

It does feel a little more cheap it just feels super light to me but that doesn't cause any problems with how it works. I've used it for only a week so I can't mention anything about how it holds up but so far it works great. The sound quality and the picture quality looks like any other mini display port to HDMI adapter I've used.
