I tried both applications, and the regular Apple one under System Preference. And, yes, I did install the 3. No improvement. Canon PIXMA MG7150 Printer Driver and User Guide
I just tried setting up a and after all the software installs, the canon network tool can't find anything, even though I've previously set up the printer from its panel and made a couple of prints from the pad. The network "tool" possibly me insists on connecting via USB, but after the password point, fails to find anything on the network and suggests manual setup which eventually comes back with a greyed out option that has the actual network info of the printer.
Selecting this results in more searching and failure to find any printer. Repeating this excruciating process with minor variations is driving me nuts. I don't know if my choice in accepting the firmware "upgrade" option the printer offered soon after the initial wireless setup on the printer was a wise decision.
