The changing of the settings worked like a charm. Redid the IP address and shut down the modem for 30 seconds and then I ran the installer and my printer was right there in the list of printers to add!

Verify your Mac is also connected to the same network by clicking on your WiFi icon and the network selected will have a checkmark. The problem doesn't seem te be related to the wireless network. I am able to print a test page through airprint. Also when I select the drop-down menu and browse for scanner, nothing appears in the list. What is the network name that appears in the Network Configuration Page and what is the iP address?
