Bypass open firmware password mac

Why is it that Apple authorized service providers are the only people who have access to the tools to do a repair like resetting a lost or forgotten firmware password? It's so frustrating. Isn't their some way I can get my hands on the proprietary tools Apple uses to reset a forgotten firmware password?

I've been dumpster diving around the internet for months to find the write tools, but the tools require me to spend a high amount of money. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what website I could go to, or what search terms to use? Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I think it's very dumb that Apple doesn't provide the tools we need to reset a forgotten firmware password.

I only want to be able to reset my own firmware passwords, not anyone elses. And I would kindly advise you not to use swearwords. Also, please don't call me a tom, dick, or any other name for that matter. Also, please keep in mind that I am blind, and can't drive without a sighted person with me. I can't just drive to an Apple store and have them fix it for me.
