The color graph on top is from the LaserJet printer and the landscape photo I took in Yellowstone on the top is printed from the HP Laserjet printer. The others below were from an Epson WF inkjet printer for reference. The paper isn't lying flat, so I cropped the edges so that it is not a distraction. The images look much better in person than the camera's images below indicate.

I expected the inkjet print edges to curl when using plain paper, but I was surprised a laserjet print would curl nearly the same amount, but a little less. I used high brightness pound paper — thicker than the average paper. Ohhh man this thing is awesome. Seems too good to be true. It is an incredible hassle-free product. I never thought I could love a printer lol. As a small business owner, this thing pays for itself in both time and money. I originally bought this for shipping labels, but within a few minutes I started printing logo stickers to slap on the packages as well.

I found setting this printer up on the network was a nightmare. There are two modes basically, one that allows it connect to the local wireless network and a mode where the printer creates it's own network and you then connect to that to print. The problem comes in trying to determine which mode you are in as there is no external feedback on the device.

You have to hold down one button until a light flashes 3 or 4 times to switch back and forth, then hold down another button until a light flashes 6 times and then printer a page showing you what mode you are I was getting very frustrated with this printer and it's "deep sleep" issues UNTIL I chatted with Brother support and updated the firmware. Now it works great! Basically requiring a power cycle to print.

After a quick chat with Brother support, they said that updating the firmware would fix the issue I use a mac, OSX The printer still deep sleeps but wakes up instantly when I I've had good luck with Epson printers over many years now we have several in the house and two in separate offices , and while I know some consider their ink pricey I've never noticed it being a major issue in comparison to other printers.
