Haha but generally no, the concealer should be the slightly lighter shade at least for under the eyes.

I wear a NC42, but its too orange and somehow makes me look darker coz of the orange tint… I have now switched to Too Faced — born this way — warm beige liquid foundation, but i will soon check out C40 from MAC. As much as I disliked using Mac foundations in the past partly due to not finding my correct shade , I LOVE it as much if not more now. The C range of shades seems to match my undertones just perfectly and I had no clue that the C range even existed! Lord, am I late to the game! I found your blog because I have some problems navigating the SF powder shade range too.

I would say that the NC40 shade in this line is a little off — way lighter than what NC40 should be. So I ordered NC It came by post this morning, I immediatley applied it with antisipation, and couldnt believe how good it looked. The colour matched my skin, it didnt look dry or greasy, just smooth. Skintone looked even, and more youthfull than other cosmetics I have been using. Fantastic product for older skins, and of course younger. This is one of my best purchase ever. I fall in love with it ever since i tried it. I use it every single day. Bought two different shades - my shade and a shade lighter and use it as a powder concealer just to brighten up my under eyes area.

The result is brilliant!! It stays on its place all day long. I will definitely repurchase!! I ordered NC40 for my olive skin tone. I have oily and acne-prone skin so wanted a good powder foundation. Well this definitely has med-full coverage. I have worn this foundation for a straight 18hrs with no touch-up and my skin looked flawless throughout but I did get oily around my T-zone after all those hours. I honestly am very impressed with the coverage and staying power of this product. I highly recommend the product.
