Validating steam files 100 stuck mac

I've tested it on numerous games, and gone through the various suggestions I've found on the internet to try to get it working again. I literally download games as I buy them, because I need at least a 1 day's notice before I decide, "I want to play thi-- oh wait, over 12 hours downloading.

I bought Hearthfire ages back, and for the last month have been vaguely searching for a way to activate it. Console commands, completing quests, force teleporting NPCs, the whole lot. Finally looked in my data files, and turns out that Hearthfire was never even installed.

It just never starts. Very frustrating to sit there waiting for it to move, as it locks out the entirety of steam chat etc with that irritating "bing bing, we're busy! Do you have the download restriction to limit the auto-updating schedule on? There's a client bug that also blocks verifying.

THINK10 1. However I could not run it properly for some strange reason. What's happening is when I open it, it will begin verifying an update, then the verification disappears, rather quickly, then reappears after a seemingly random amount of time. I'm looking for a fix for this. I am trying to run the launcher V7. I have ate,pled to restart my computer and run it, but when I restart it, several applications that weren't originally open, will open, such as Steam. Additionally when I restart, the launcher acts "normally", it launches, verifies and update for maybe 10 seconds, then after at least a 30 sec wait, it resumes the infinite verification loop.

I also tried to see if I could find the "VaultChache" folder to no avail. If you know what could help please let me know.
