Wireless bluetooth numeric keypad for mac

Not bad. The meh: I always hated the silver aluminum macbook finish, which this has as well. It makes me cringe to touch it.

The white plastic keys are meh. If I wanted a matchy set, I'd just buy the magic keyboard, I don't see why this must match.

And my macbook is the darker finish of the macbook, not an option. I'd recommend they just make black or a neutral aluminum that would work with anything, but if you like it, it looks just like the old macbook. The bad: When connecting it to my macbook, none of the instructions that come with it, are online on the Belkin site, are listed on the Apple site, none of them are correct. The macbook connects up with the device just fine, but has no idea what it is. It thinks it's a keyboard and so goes into a loop of asking you to press the button next to the SHIFT key.

Well, guess what, there is no shift key, and there's no other way out of that setup screen, so if you are looking for a satisfying resolution of installation, you will not get it. Your setup will fail, and you will have an entry on your Bluetooth menu that says Keyboard blah blah. Now, the good out of all of this is, it doesn't particularly matter, all the keys work fine including the F keys.

So it doesn't apparently need to finish installation gracefully to work. I also did have to replace the batteries that came with as many others have remarked. Would be better not to include them. So Giving this three stars. It works, even though it doesn't appear to install correctly.

It is hideous looking, but functionally fine. In the week or so I've had it, it doesn't seem to have any connection issues. If I hadn't spent 3 hours researching better options and then troubleshooting the install process I would have given it 4 stars. If it was made of black or white plastic and had more ergo keys, it would get 5. Rated 5 out of 5 by largee22 from Dependable extra that makes work easy Bought with my new Imac from Apple. Although could have gotten the newer keyboard, I wanted to also have the flexibility of using it when I am on the road with my Macbook.

I wish I would have done this sooner!

Makes data entry so much easier and especially love the delete key to complement the backspace. The only downside was the initial setup. No problem connecting like insert says, but then it only partially functioned. I had to get on the internet and search for a few minutes to find out that you have to take batteries out and resetup for everything to work like it is supposed to.

In box literature definitely needs to be fixed for idiots like me. Thank you for those troubleshooters out there that published how to fix things independently.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rbka from Very disappointed! I received it yesterday night, and today a key is already missing. I can't get to connect to my MacBook Pro, today. You can't tell if is on or off because the green light turns off almost immediately.

I even tried selecting "PC" mode and pairing directly. No good.

Satechi said they have no way of testing this but as far as they knew it probably won't work in a shared mode on a VM. The device actually seems to work quite well in the Mac OS apps, and it's probably not entirely Satechi's fault it won't work on the VM. Unfortunately I still had to knock it down a couple of stars. Since I do the bulk of my number typing in Quicken I'm going to return the keypad. Kudos to Satechi Tech Support. A couple of days later I got a Excelente compra. I like this little addition a lot.

It's perfect for my iMac that doesn't have a number key pad, which is unfortunate for when I'm working with numbers a lot at work. The only complaint I have is that it's is not constantly connected to my computer. There is a slight delay so if I start typing before it's connected, I have to go back and edit my numbers because it doesn't read the first few I type. It's a good choice for the price and I would still recommend it if you don't mind dealing with a tiny inconvenience. I bought this initially because I work off of a Surface Pro for work and have no number pad. After just dealing with the inconveniences for months, I finally decided to invest in a good key.

This one is amazing! It connected effortlessly and seamlessly with my device via bluetooth. This was so convenient due to my tablet only having one USB port that I use for my mouse.

There's also a button on the top left corner that is a hotkey for pulling up your computer's calculator--how convenient! Would definitely recommend! Instructions forgot one important part. Works great with my surface. Very conmpact to toss in a bag but big enough to use on a desk. I generally like this number pad for my iMac where I've been used to having keyboards with number pads and Apple Keyboard doesn't give me that. It is an OK match for the look of the keyboard with the aluminum matching exactly but keys are not as white.

The keys are firm and good responsiveness you can tell on a mis-strike. Mine was purchased March Pros Mine sits flat on desk so no issue there The 2 cons were - it disconnects early and often the 1st number hit simple reconnects the pad, that results in errors from dropped number if you want to type you will get - recharging doesn't have a good indicator of battery life remaining.

For the mouse and keyboard I can simply check the bluetooth status menu item. Currently unavailable. Quality keypad. Smooth touchpad. Keys are like velvet smooth for keying numbers. Love the extra buttons for esc. Tab, space. Very easy to set up. Excellent quality. See All Buying Options. It's ok. The picture shown does not show that it doesn't match the real iMac keyboard. This number pad is taller and the prints on each number is much lighter than that on my iMac keyboard.

I wouldn't have purchased it if I knew that.. But it works so I took off one star for being a little deceiving. Only 16 left in stock - order soon. The key pad works excellently on my Surface 3 Pro. Its thin perfect angle and the unit is very solid. Have been using heavily the past few days and its worked flawlessly, no lag in numbers being entered on spreadsheet. I had a problem at the beginning.
