Hi, do you know if the adapter and hdmi-hdmi cables are needed if the video is displaying ok without sound? I have a late MB so currently I have the mini-dvi to hdmi cable and the video is displaying fine.
I then have a double-ended audio jack from my headphone port on my laptop to the audio-in on the tv but still no sound. Do I then still need the hdmi-hdmi and an adapter?
