Right-click on the contact and select "Export vCard. Select "All Files" from the Enable drop-down list, and browse to the location of the saved vCard. Click on it and then click "Open" to start the Text Import Wizard. Select the "Delimited" option, which will automatically separate the data into columns based on the commas or tabs within the vCard file. Click "Next" to select the delimiters to use.

Click on the different delimiters, such as "Tab" or "Semicolon. Click "Finish" to complete the import.

This is an Excel based VBA script used to import bulk. VCF files that contain more than 1 Vcard and then convert them to a comma separated. This has been written to support VCF 2.

To use, simply download and open the Excel file xlsm , Enable Macros if prompted, and then select the VCF file you wish to import. As others have said - this is the best.

And shame on Apple for making it so difficult to read their file formats. I like to occasionally create a backup of my contacts in a form that I can read and manipulate. As part of my business, I also help others clean up their contacts. Having contacts in Excel is the easiest way to accomplish that.

It took me a minute to figure out that this really wanted to be opened in my windows version of Excel, but I figured it out! Thank you for creating this! You rock!

Also, Apple can go eat dirt for making this so difficult! Boo on them! Yay for you kind sir! Thanks very much for this. It saved me a lot of messing about trying to convert a couple of VCF files to something sensible.

Why does that matter? Because with a local app, you can be assured your data is kept private and secure. Your contacts doesn't need to be transmitted to a website before it can be converted into a data file. There's no chance for your contact data to be intercepted or used for any purposes you don't intend.
