Aggregate device mac snow leopard

And no, you can't do it on Windows. Remember that if you cant wordclock devices together, their individual crystal clocks will beat at slightly different rates and they may drift in timing.

Set up an Aggregate Device

You'd be better off to get a proper interface and standard mics Video editing, 3D work and audio with zero problems. I just need to know how to set up the aggregate devices thing in OSX though?? Originally Posted by buckman. Anybody know where the link went?

I've launched the Audio Midi setup app and set a configuration that looks like it should work but it remains as above. With ni interface attached, PT loads and runs fine but I just cant get the audio signal to route to the built-in output. Should I be running the core audio driver or something?

You should also be able to select "built-in output" as the playback engine and have that work with no external interface obviously.

Information on trashing preferences and databases is in the very useful general troubleshooting guide. Which is worth a thorough read for general information. Thankyou Darryl. It works a treat. Is there any way of adjusting the output volume when using the aggregate IO?

You shouldn't have to use the aggregate IO if you just want to use the built in Mac speakers. Should take care of it. This is assuming your normal interface is either off or not hooked up. When your normal interface is on or hooked up, hit default at that time to reset everything for that. I've found that it helps to hit default on each tab: Outputs, Inputs, busses, etc.
