With a small app named "Bootcamp" free from Apple , and a copy of the Windows Operating system, you can switch between OSX and Windows when you wish to play games. You should be aware that the average Apple hardware is below this game's requirements, and the expense of upgrading keeps most of your peers from using their machines for these high intensity games.

Apple's hardware isn't actually overpriced -- in fact, for what you get, it's often quite reasonable,[1] especially with an educational discount. Why not DA2? When I got a mac pro for the lab a few years ago it was because I couldn't even buy the two xeon processors for the same price as the whole thing with educaitonal discount. This is kind of a weird post. You don't need a PC to play windows games on a Mac. You just need Windows 7.

Besides, any given game will run quicker and more efficiently in Windows than in Mac OS X, on the same hardware. Running the game in Windows on Bootcamp is a better option even if there was a Mac native version. BTW, you don't find it by looking for an app called "bootcamp" you type "boot camp" into Finder and the boot camp assistant will come up.
