But getting it to line up and hold the drive level was more complicated than I expected. Directions are vague, says to keep rubber washers in if you have them but I ultimately found it worked better if I kept them on one side but not the other in regards to keeping it level. Even then it is a very tight fit, with the top of the adapter getting scratched putting it in.

The two holes that are used to attach to the mac pro caddy are meant to be a bit small so that the screws can be tightly set in. The only thing that can be improved is the instruction sheet. I guess it was copied so many times that it has become a bit harder to see the details. The design is a smart one. It has too tight margins. The slider need a margin of at least 3mm height in order to slide along the Mac Pro rails.

And i even tried to remove the rubbers so it could go a little lower. Cheese grater Mac Pro is an obsolete platform. I can't expect an expensive development process. Worked great! Was a little confused as to how to put it together at first.

But if you look at the instructions you will figure it out. Fit perfectly into my macpro 2,1.
