I am having the same problem with not recognizing my driver, yet I don't have deamon tools on my computer what can i do? Downloaded the 1. And hopa there were my burners available in itunes.

Deleted upper filters, then drive showed up, but gave disc burner or software not found message. Never had daemon. This solved perfectly. Hope helps. After investigating this issue, we have determined that the issue is being caused by the presence of the Audio File System AFS driver from Oak Technologies.

Disabling the AFS driver appears to resolve the issue. This can be done by renaming the afs.

The problem lies in the itunes software, because other software Roxio, Nero, Jetaudio etc can ALL burn CDs with no problem to the same drive itunes says it cant find. So no fix for me The search continues in the absence of any help from Apple I have yet to receive a reply. Looked a bit more for stuff on this and there still is not one definitive answer. Vista 32, iTunes 9. Just download it and run it. I didn't need to mess with my regedit. Note that Apple do not even concede there is a bug! I don't use itunes any more as I found that after updating I lost 92 tracks and itunes store would not refund me. There are many better places to download new mp3s that are legal and NOT encrypyted, eg Tesco Napster and many others, all better value as you can just copy these to any mp3 player.

Unfortunately Apple and itunes still do not want to concede there is any problem with their bloatware,more commonly known as itunes. The whole mess of a problem did not arise until I installed itunes. Now I just use Winamp and Cowon and between them there are some pretty unbeatable utilities.
