Should I be? My Thunderbird application crashed several times as I tried to open it without reports. I have downloaded another Thunderbird application for OS X I have relaunched it and it continues to crash.

I have turned the computer off and back on. Same thing. It also crashes on Safe Mode I have typed the following line in Terminal: The application I have downloaded is the older version at: This happens when I try to open them by clicking directly on the icon or by selecting "open" on right click. I have gone over the troubleshooting tips in detail and can't figure out how to fix it.

One is included in your version of OS X, but it defaults to allowing all incoming connections. Thunderbird was running fine before this. The new application I installed is compatible. I put the original Thunderbird application the one that crashed in the trash and then downloaded a new one. Was that a good idea? Should I get rid of the 2d application -- and if so, how?

Shall I go ahead and run a firewall program now or should I wait until the Thunderbird problem is fixed?

You may have posted while I was editing my post. It has a link to a version of Thunderbird for OS X I'd get rid of any that are later than Jun Wed 18th Made in Canada.

I have read your post with the editions. I am pretty sure I have the compatible version, but can try to download a new application. How do I get rid of previous applications?
