One of the most noticeable benefits I found after working with VDI Linux virtual desktops was that they could be accessed from any location, with interconnectivity from a plethora of different machines. I was comforted by the fact that the data itself was securely stored in my home lab. With this access I would be able to install new software, or observe and correct issues that users were having with their desktops.
