Overall, I've had a lot of fun in this job. It's just changing and customers aren't always very nice. A fun outgoing place that lets you be who you want to be!

C is one of the best places to work if you are an up-and-coming makeup artist! It gives you the means to be your own boss and you grow at a really rapid pace! We have meetings every season for new collections, and I don't even want to talk about the free makeup! Either way if you are a makeup artist looking to get your name out there and gain some guidance from trainers that are at every fashion week this is the best thing for you to grow in your career!

Micro Managers. Working there is very different than shopping there. They are an edgy work environment and fun fashion forward learning, but strong pressure to sale sale sale and managers are micro managed by many people. Great training but overall bad company to work for. The training at MAC is great and doing the artistry is fun but job itself was awful. I was promised more hours when I started and for months and finally got told they couldnt give them all along.

The company gives you no benefits e. The company is more focused on you selling products than actually doing makeup and inspiring each other. Myself and other staff were lied to continuously. Not for the long run. Awesome for building personal makeup skills and knowledge about business.

Loved talking to people regularly really got me out of my shell. Management could do better. If you didn't work with a great team the pressure would be too much. I actually loved my time working for Mac, but there was no opportunities for advancing and growing in the business - which i was told there was. I felt as if I was constantly fighting an uphill battle.

Management was very uncoordinated - not from store level but above store level which also left us floundering at times. Higher management don't have a grasp on what the artists need and what the customer wants either, so they try to make you role out these 'amazing' new sales ideas when all they should be doing is creating the product that every other brand has had for years. But, if it wasn't for the girls and boys I worked with I would have left long before. Bad Management. The management at MAC when I worked there was awful.

Conflicts and dismissals were handled awfully and without sympathy. Would recommend to makeup artists looking to further their skills creatively but not to those looking for a long term position. Working with customers and their needs.

Working for MAC is great, however there is no movement and its at a complete standstill. At this time I'm looking for something in which I'm able to move up in the business. Great work eniornment. High School Drama. This company hides behind a good discount to treat its employee's like dirt. No matter what you do, at the end of the day you are just a number and the only way to move up is if you plan on kissing butt. Managers favor certain people and gossip about everyone else, reminds me of high school days. MAC does not are about your health or family or school.

The pay is decent. Not family friendly. This company has changed a lot since I started.

It seemed like there was so much potential. At first I wanted to be a manager but the work load that they put on mangers is unrealistic. Every manger I have worked with works on their time off.

If you have children and need flexibility with your schedule remember this is a retail job request are considered a nuisance. By the way they treat mangers I can see why. Also sometimes our schedule is given the day before you have to come in. Why does it take two months to approve? Business has been bad and hours are getting cut left and right. So for my freelance guys and gals good luck with hours. Fun Place. Very fun place to work but I want more of a work life balance. It was very straining. I enjoyed my coworkers and clients.
