I've never been much of a lip-product girl before, usually sticking to nothing but a simple lip tint, gloss, or natural toned lipstick before the previous year of feeling adventurous and diving into all things lips. These were the very first lip pencils I had ever tried and I've never looked back! Absolutely love these not only for the quality but for the price. I have at least 20 by now!
The Best MAC Lip Liners for Desi’s – Review & Swatches
Only down side to them is that some of the very light shades, like flower or citrine, must be built up very heavily. Otherwise they work amazingly with lipstick and are just as wearable on their own. Very matte, very soft, easily sharpened, and are quite durable. Rated 5 out of 5 by eowynsnow from All Time Favourite! I fell in love with this lip liner a few years back, but finally branched out in colours and I'm so happy I did! Pale Pink is my go to colour for under almost all of my lipsticks on a regular basis.
Not only does it help keep the lipstick in the lines no running anywhere , but it also keeps my lipstick on through straws, food, and anything else that comes my way! The selection of colours is incredible and I love the consistency of the more matte ones! I'm not a big fan of the shiny ones like Petal , but the matte ones are so creamy that sometimes I wear them alone! I spend all of my day talking talking, eating and more talking and I only reapply once after lunch for the boldness of the color instead of the slightly warn off stain that still looks nice to me.
Of all the colors I have, the red and fuchsia look best. I don't notice the same lip skin peeling with these liners as I do with some lip glosses and sticks. Great value for the price. I'd be willing to order every shade just to try them out. The photo is in one of the red shades with a little black liner. I always loved Nyx but I hadn't really gotten into the lip liners until recently and I'm so glad I did!
They work perfect with the High Voltage lipsticks and stay for a long time and help ground the High Voltage lipsticks so they stay around forever, too. Beautifully blends into every lipstick ever and is wearable without lipstick if that's what you're into without getting all gross and patchy, like other brands that I won't mention haha. Rated 5 out of 5 by Anjie from Forever favorite! Nude is my go-to color. Ive never found the perfect shade until I found the Nyx lip liner collection. I fell in love! I've been searching for nude beige and nude truffle in stores but it is always sold out so I purchased a bunch online which ended up shipping for free.
They have such a great variety of colors and the quality is amazing for the price. I always get compliments from my liner. I usually apply the liner with some lip balm and I'm good for the day. Absolute favorite!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rachelle from They have great pigmentation and they're smooth without being to slick. Just the right amount of creaminess to the pencil for it to glide effortlessly and they give a long wear matte finish if you wear it alone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ade from So I have about every color of these Lip Pencils and I would def purchase them again as their pigmentation is great and they are creamy but not too much and are so long wear! Thank you once again Nyx for another great product! Print are your lip liners eye safe?
That's my beef with Nyx. Don't confuse me like that, Nyx I'm a girl of simple pleasures, let's just keep the names straight and keep them available. So, if you're not totally confused yet, I own a total of let me go actually count in my drawer 37 pencils from Nyx. Now that we've gotten Nyx out of the way, stats down and ready to rumble.
Here comes MAC. Ah, MAC. We all collect you and hate your prices and love your products. Even your 15 LE releases a year. For lip pencils, you get options. There's pro longwear, regular lip pencils, and cremestick liners. I only own one of the pro longwear and the rest are standard lip pencils. They're more creamy and glide easier than Nyx's pencils which feel more waxy in comparison. However, on pigmentation and wearability, Nyx is more longer lasting and MAC has more unique shade ranges. Take a look:. Shades I own are: Lip Pencil: Correct me if I am wrong, but it's safe to say these are more pricey.
Pro Longwear lip pencils are smaller, only come in 14 shades and cost more. From what I can tell by using Dynamo, they are less creamy, but that doesn't mean they last longer. Unless there is a shade you are dying for ahem, hot pink just buy the regular lip pencils. Or buy Nyx: Pro Longwear Lip Pencil: They do feel less creamy than the standard lip pencils though I widened the photo for better visibility and continuity on the post- they aren't fat, they're standard pencil size. Swatches of the shades I own, 15 out of 30 and the lonely 1 pro longwear, are below:.
