Only downside is that you need plug in to both your speaker and USB port to use them, which can get in the way, but apart from that I'd recommend them. I have a SteelSeries headset.

It only used the mic of the iMac self. And the Tiamat also had 2 cords to hook up to your mic and headphone ports.
