I am following the instructions and yes i do get the option to import from phone to photo app on mac When I edit a photo in Camera Roll using the native editing features of the phone app, a second file is stored on my phone containing the edit changes it is not a copy or edited photo, just a file with edit metadata. Apple does this to allow you to revert to the original if desired. For this reason I do not use the native editing features on a phone, I use Pixelmator good and cheap or the free Photoshop Express and I edit a copy, not an original.
