If this is not the fact, what do you see in the Monitor preference pane of the G4? Don't recall seeing that option, but I'll double check.

VGA settings. What I mean is,. When I powered down from original display monitor, I set display at lowest res setting. When I reconnected to tv, the tv picked up the computer and I was able to reset resolution to workable setting. Only problem now is screen is 'elongated,' looks like 4x3 aspect stretched to 16x9.
How do you connect an older G4 to a LCD TV
Also, if I switch out of rgb setting on tv to another input, I lose the computer again and I have to reboot. One solution at a time, I guess. General discussion.
