Please try again later. Verified Purchase. My wife had an old White Macbook. As we'd gotten her a new one, I wanted to sell it, but of course needed to wipe everything first. Loooonnnggg story short, after a lot of problems that I didn't encounter when I wiped and sold my Aluminum Macbook, I found this disc to download the OS back onto the machine.

Had the disc and worked on the laptop for about 4 weeks with no success. Just today I figured I'd give it one more shot and then destroy it with a hammer. As I worked on it, a piece of paper fell out of the disc cover Thank you so much! Saved me from a life of dismay.

Installed OSX Lion without a hitch.

Only thing i noticed is instead of a dvd showing up when booting holding option key: A picture of a strange looking EFI was pictured. I clicked on it as if it were the dvd drive and it worked fine.

I have no idea why it did this on my mid macbook. So pleased to find a remedy for corrupted operating system One person found this helpful. I don't know what I'm doing wrong I tried all necessary steps for a fresh install. I keep running into problems! I tried even creating a bootable USB option.. And I had to use it. Disk worked fine. However when I followed included instructions for fresh install, I had problems, But when I just inserted disk and doubled clicked on the install file it worked well. Perfect replacement for lost OS disk. It's the difference between dead and alive for this hardware.

I had to recover my wife's macbook and this worked like a charm. Thank you for offering this product!

I just talked to a service person at LG and he said that Mac has its own drivers. This link will help you download the driver. Mac OS does not update from 9. X Mac 9. Mac OS 9. I don't have an Optio z, but I do have an Optio 30 and it's older.
