The process is fairly simple: First, put the AA Battery into the mouse and power it on. Once turned on, it should be discoverable as a Bluetooth device. First, there is a different feel the way you hold this mouse, but it starts to feel good in the first few minutes using this mouse. Programable keys and multiple adjustments is tracking and scrolling are good. My Magic Mouse goes through two batteries every other month.

Why did I wait so long? When a battery is initially inserted, the mouse works fine. However, quickly, it reaches a point where there is no response when buttons are clicked and the optical accuracy becomes very poor. To correct this, removing the battery and reinserting it, restarts the mouse working well. It this was required only once a day, I could live with it, but it must be done several times a day which is annoying and distracting.
