Anyone with any helpful ideas? Its ridiculous, I can't see why the installation can't automatically do it all for you. Do I have to have a wireless router? I can't see why I would if both computers are wireless like the printer, they should all be able to work. The router is connected via an Ethernet cable to your modem, then all the devices would connect to the router either wired or wireless. Then adding in a wireless printer would be easy. Sometimes the modem and router are the same box, but that's neither here nor there. I get a window saying "set printer's IP adress", with all fields already filled correctly with printer's and router's IP. Then I press connect it starts searching again, but still nothing found.
I really don't know what else to try. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Feb 4, 9: I have tried to wait for around a minute but the one of the "canonijnetwork" kind still does not appear.
Only the scanner, and if the cable is connected, the USB kind. I have already installed the newest driver Do you have any suggestion what to do? Many thanks in advance. Apr 22, This solved my problem.
